On May 16-18, the 2nd Baltic and Black Sea Ports & Shipping Conference 2023 took place in Gdánsk, Poland. Sponsored by Port Gdánsk and Baltic Hub, the event offered insights into critical challenges and opportunities in global and regional trade and investment.
More than 30 transport and logistics experts, government officials, and influential stakeholders shared their knowledge and vision of the industry. As part of this event, LeverX experts explained how to optimize transportation management and yard operations in ports with SAP solutions.

Besides sharing their knowledge, our SAP experts also organized a live demonstration to show how SAP TM and SAP Yard Logistics can help companies streamline transportation and yard processes.
Additionally, they presented the SAP Transportation Resource Planning (SAP TRP) solution that helps businesses allocate resources according to customer demand to meet customers’ needs at a minimal cost. This solution can help ports and shipping companies increase efficiency, reduce costs, and provide better customer service.

Gaining Practical Experience
As part of the event, participants visited the Port of Gdánsk for an on-site technical visit. They witnessed firsthand the bustling operations of the Baltic Hub container terminal and saw how skilled personnel, advanced machinery, and technology integration work together to achieve seamless coordination and efficiency. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for delegates to see how SAP solutions can be applied in real-world port operations.
