 Our client is an engineering conglomerate based in the UAE. Client manages a diverse and sophisticated portfolio of over 20 entities specializing in high-precision manufacturing. 

Challenge

The primary challenge for the Group’s centralized finance function was the significant manual overhead and synchronization lag inherent in their intercompany accrual processes. With 20+ distinct legal entities, the volume of "mirrored" financial documents created a critical administrative bottleneck:

• Manual Monitoring of Multi-Entity Postings: Finance teams were required to manually track new document postings. Manual tracking led to delays in identifying internal obligations.

• Cross-Entity Coordination: The creation of mirrored journal entries required constant manual communication between accountants in different subsidiaries to verify document details, tax treatments, and posting periods. 

• Risk of Intercompany Discrepancies: The reliance on manual data replication for accruals across multiple entities led to frequent reconciliation errors. 

Solution

We engineered an automated solution using the Automation Anywhere platform to transform the intercompany posting process from a manual task to an automated flow.

Our solution provides a seamless, automated bridge between the various legal entities within the SAP environment:

• Autonomous SAP Transaction Monitoring: The digital worker (bot) was designed to monitor specific document types posting in real-time.
• Automated Mirror Accrual Execution: The bot generates the corresponding mirror accruals in the target entity. It accurately matches data between originating and receiving documents.
• Integrated Stakeholder Notifications: After every successful posting, the bot delivers email notifications to both entities, providing newly created document numbers and reference links for visibility.

Primary Automation Platform: The solution is built using Automation Anywhere (A360). Automated solution interacts with SAP.
