UzAuto Motors, a leading manufacturer and seller of cars in Uzbekistan, got a next-generation ERP system based on the SAP platform and implemented from scratch. S/4HANA-based modules (SAP EWM, MM, PP, JIT/JIS, SD, FI, CO, and HCM) and SAP Marketing, SAP CRM, SAP BPC, and SAP OpenText are among the solutions that are now applied across the company’s business units.
SAP S/4HANA allowed establishing cross-functional processes in the organization, enabling the integration of warehouse, sales, financial, production, analytical, and marketing departments, and digitizing paper-based operations.
As a part of the SAP S/4HANA project, the LeverX team implemented the SAP Extended Warehouse Management product (SAP EWM).
SAP EWM let the company optimize and enable the transparency of warehouse processes, including goods receiving, storing, and issuing, minimize time spent on supply for assembly lines, while providing their flawless operations.
During the implementation process, the LeverX project team succeeded in tackling the following challenges:
- Organization of the address storage for the rational use of warehouse resources;
- Development and customization of RF transactions and their integration with RF terminals with the aim to streamline warehouse order processing;
- Tracking container movements and stock balance control;
- Adding new functionality related to the handling of containers;
- Managing supplier labels, which allows the customer to significantly reduce time on product labeling.
Experts from the LeverX Training Center organized training sessions for UzAuto Motors employees. After that, development specialists from the client’s side performed a number of tasks led by our experienced team.
Dzianis Kulitski, SAP EWM functional manager at LeverX: “The warehouse management system based on SAP EWM successfully operates across two plants of UzAuto Motors. Currently, our project team provides post go-live support.
“Thanks to our contribution, the company has obtained a unified environment for managing all business operations instead of separate accounting systems. Full transparency and automation of warehouse processes are among the pros. Besides, the UzAuto Motors has upgraded their IT landscape according to our recommendations.
“SAP EWM implementation lets our customer receive up-to-date information about the warehouse stocks in real-time, provide production with the needed components, and achieve expected production rates.”
