Together with an SAP CIS representative Andrey Troitskiy, LeverX International showcased SAP Leonardo, one of the most recent SAP solutions on the market. It is based on SAP HANA Cloud Platform and centers on connectivity and the Internet of Things, concentrating all SAP IoT expertise and best practices into a single innovative solution.
For the event we decided to focus on customer success stories in such industries as vehicle manufacturing (connected cars), agriculture (digital farming technologies), and railroad transportation (engine maintenance).
At the event our team consisted of 5 people, among them were an SAP system architect and a lead developer, since we anticipated a lot of in-depth technical questions about our IoT integration experience and the projects we showcased.
One of the cases featured by SAP team was the train maintenance automation system, a major integration project that LeverX is proud to be a part of.
The biggest goal of the railroad company’s new Dynamic Management System is to automate train maintenance through IoT functionality. The sensors on the train feed their data to SAP HANA platform where it is analyzed and stored. This allows the maintenance crews of the company to switch from manual engine examinations to an automated system and reduce costs of train operation by 10%.
675 people from 14 countries participated in IoT World Summit 2017, among them business owners and heads of IT. Such a keen interest in solutions based on the Internet of Things will encourage us to work even closer with the SAP Leonardo platform in the future.
